OPERATION RED STORM
OPERATION RED STORM
Year 2011 - Syrian dictator Bashar al-Asaad fires the first shots of the war against Arab rebel protesters. In July rebel protesters start shooting back sparking a complicated and messy civil war. In a number of daring offensives backed by the full support of Russia, Syria has captured Gaziantep and Hatay and now musters ground forces to assault Turkish held FARPS near Sugözü and Akdeniz Shipyard.
MISSION BRIEF - JOINT TASK FORCE
MISSION OBJECTIVES
As General of the NATO/Turkish Joint Allied Forces your primary objective is to defend friendly FARPS from enemy ground and air assaults. Execute CAP and CAS operations to push the invading forces back and capture enemy points of interest with ground forces outlined in each mission.
For NATO to have mission success and eliminate hostile threats against forward operating bases, we must capture FARP BASHAR & SALIM with ground forces and zones POI 1 and POI 2. NATO must reach 80 attrition points.
CAMPAIGN OBJECTIVES
Operation Red Storm is made up of 4 connected missions as part of one campaign. The campaign is made up of 4 stages and each win of a mission will progress the campaign for the Syrian or Nato forces. Campaign requires:
1) CAMPAIGN WIN FOR NATO FORCES - WIN STAGE 4 ( NATO forces remove Syrian forces from Turkish lands )
2) CAMPAIGN WIN FOR SYRIAN FORCES - WIN STAGE 1 ( Syrian forces capture NATO Airfield Incirlik )
KEY MISSION POINTS
1) Intercept hostile CAP patrols to gain air superiority for CAP operations
2) Intercept inbound tank columns to prevent the total destruction and capture of FARP Delta & Charlie
3) Conduct counter assaults on enemy FARPS and hostile ground units
4) Spawn C-130 for troop drop to capture enemy HATAY and GAZIANTEP airfields by clearing out all ground forces in the zone
IMPORTANT NOTES
A troop pickup zone (NATO blue smoke / SYRIA red smoke) can be used at FARP MASH to setup air defenses or deploy troops to assist in zone capture. Deploy JTAC to reveal enemy positions to assist CAS operations.
USE Tactical Command to move ground forces into key positions to engage ground forces.
MISSION FAILURE WILL RESULT IF:
- SYRIAN forces achieve 80 attrition points in destruction of friendly assets
- Enemy forces capture FARP CHARLIE & DELTA with ground forces!
